"Texas is also the place where authorities are saying that women who lose their fertility as a result of giving birth to dying babies or are unable to be treated due to pregnancy complications have no standing to sue the state over its abortion law because they’re no longer capable of reproducing. "

Nothing like telling TX women that if hey can't have babies, that they are non-persons.

"...Republican State Attorney Generals are seeking access to medical records in states where abortion is legal along with information about gender affirming care."

Umm...Have they heard of HIPPA?

'"Democrats like Kamala Harris have to lie about Florida's educational standards to cover for their agenda of indoctrinating students and pushing sexual topics onto children,"" DeSantis wrote on Facebook prior to her speech."

If anyone is grooming children, it is the Guns Over People Party.

Got a chuckle when I read "Even podunk KUSI wannabes are having to admit that something’s amiss." Remember that fool of an overtly climate change denying "weather man"? I watched KUSI once in awhile but the second he came on, I changed the channel.

I've been weaned from tube feeding for almost a year. And I have an extra 20 pounds to prove it.

Having grown up on Chesapeake Bay eating steamed crabs and succulent crab cakes, I'm sad to learn Doug won't be able to enjoy the crab cakes. Hope you can eat the crab meat or is that priced out of range too?

I DID eat some Crab Cakes, in sandwich form. All came with a supposed brioche bun, which was a yellowish hamburger bun in one instance. The best I ate (and I am sure there are other good ones... $25 each charge and higher temperatures ended my wanderings) was at inner harbor McCormick & Schmidts. (yes, I know they mostly used to be a chain) It was a "cake" ; it had a minimal amount of breading, you could taste the trace of dijon mustard in the binding, it was seasoned with s&p after cooking, and the for real brioche bun was thrown on the grill long enough to get markings.

If you have a chance to visit Annapolis, for a true Chesapeake crab experience, you should go to Cantler's. They're all things crab. The crab cake platter (2 crab cakes) is $49 though you do get sides. My absolute favorite is fried soft shell crabs though I was shocked to see the $36 price tag. I'll take those over crab cakes any day. https://cantlers.com/

Meant to add that putting good crab cakes into a sandwich is heresy.
