This was by far the biggest march I’ve seen in San Diego. I was helping with crowd control at the start of the march. There were so many people that the line was still going as the first marchers came back. It was glorious.
Thanks for the shout out to the brave Borregans. I joined them one weekend while visiting, but before it turned really hot. Nine out of ten cars that passed on the circle honked or waved.
Sigh, I had planned on going in Seattle but spent all day Friday AND Saturday trying to track down and buy a med my daughter needs, which is backordered at our own pharmacy and many others till late July. But on my way back from finally finding some, I ran into an unplanned but large march and honked and waved.
The NYT did not mention any of the protests on its home page today. I sent their tip line the following: "There were some sizeable protests yesterday. You don't seem to have noticed. "

Everyone with access to the Times needs to do so.
Thank you, Doug, for such a thorough overview of this historic event.
