Impeachment Day 3: White House Dirt Kept on Standalone Computer
Today’s metaphor is obvious: Nixon’s Tapes.
There is one footnote in the declassified whistleblower complaint with the potential for bringing down President Donald Trump’s house of cards.
The complaint itself alleges that the White House attempted to "lock down" the memo summarizing President Trump's July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a sensitive computer system designed to hold national security information.
The footnote regarding that assertion says the computer system is used for "codeword-level intelligence information, such as covert action." It also notes White House officials admitted this was not the first time that the Trump administration had used the system "for the purpose of protecting politically sensitive — rather than national security sensitive — information."
Full stop.
What else is in there? How can Congress unlock the secrets therein without compromising national security?
And, oh yeah… About that Biden stuff
