Thoughts and Pictures From San Diego's Hands Off! Protest
It felt good to be with people united for the cause of freedom
Man-o-man, what a day! San Diego rolled out some extra nice spring weather and San Diegans showed up in droves for the Hands Off! Protest in downtown San Diego.
It reminded me of the size and spirit of the Women’s March in 2017; I’m not gonna play the numbers game, but when we got around to marching, the crowd filled the North side of Broadway for nine blocks, plus more feeding in.
The homemade signs were great; funny, sad, mad, and hopeful.
I actually ran into a couple of known MAGA types; they were mostly sheepish. I was sincerely glad to see them. We have a lot of wonderful people in this city, and they came together on April 5, 2025 to show they do give a damn.
More pics, less words!
