I will not be writing a column today. But I would be remiss if I didn’t lift the nifty graphic above found on Threads. It’s so perfect. Our Governor took on wannabe Ron DeSantis in a debate last night, with host Sean Hannity serving up softball questions to Florida’s Governor.
Via CNN:
Hannity, near the end, attempted to shift to what he called a “lightning round,” seeking quick answers from both debaters.
“It’d be great if both of you guys cooperated. I’m not a potted plant here,” Hannity said.
Neither cooperated.
I will, however, include my regular trio of things that I saw elsewhere that should be shared.
I have things to take care of, including my every eight weeks CT scan. I feel fine, and hopefully the scan won’t reveal any cancer. Having been down this road three times before, scans are always anxiety creating.
See ya Monday,
Doug.

BREAKING: Donald is RE-Gagged Via The Good In Us by Mary L. Trump
When Judge Engoron made sure Donald’s attorneys were aware that the Appellate Division First Department reinstated his two gag orders, and that he would enforce them vigorously, they responded with a comment as ill-advised as it was rude:
“It's a tragic day for the rule of law,” Donald’s attorney Kise said, “but we are aware.”
“It is what it is,” Engoron quipped. These lawyers aren’t doing Donald any favors – getting on Engoron’s bad side won’t make him any less likely to hold Donald accountable.

A Florida GOP Leader, a Moms for Liberty Founder, and Allegations of Group Sex and Rape Via Mother Jones
The investigative journalism outlet Florida Center for Government Accountability has a story today alleging that Christian Ziegler, the chair of the Florida GOP, sexually assaulted a woman. This would be enough to attract attention, but this woman was allegedly having a ménage à trois with him and his wife Bridget, the erstwhile crusading chair of the Sarasota school board and a co-founder of the parents’ rights group Moms for Liberty.
The accusations in the story—which Mother Jones could not independently verify—are wild, to say the least:
The woman, according to sources close to the investigation, alleged that she and both Zieglers had been involved in a longstanding consensual three-way sexual relationship prior to the incident. The incident under investigation by Sarasota police occurred when Christian Ziegler and the woman were alone at the woman’s house, without Bridget Ziegler present, the sources conveyed.
Sources also corroborated that a search warrant was executed on Christian Ziegler’s cell phone and that investigators continue to conduct a forensic examination of the electronic device. Christian Ziegler is also alleged to have secretly videotaped the sexual encounters between the couple and the woman, sources said.

Israel Knew Hamas’s Attack Plan More Than a Year Ago Via The New York Times
Israeli officials obtained Hamas’s battle plan for the Oct. 7 terrorist attack more than a year before it happened, documents, emails and interviews show. But Israeli military and intelligence officials dismissed the plan as aspirational, considering it too difficult for Hamas to carry out.
The approximately 40-page document, which the Israeli authorities code-named “Jericho Wall,” outlined, point by point, exactly the kind of devastating invasion that led to the deaths of about 1,200 people.
The translated document, which was reviewed by The New York Times, did not set a date for the attack, but described a methodical assault designed to overwhelm the fortifications around the Gaza Strip, take over Israeli cities and storm key military bases, including a division headquarters.
