I don’t like this article. When you say that Democrats approval rating is 21% maybe that’s because most of us are so upset that there’s nothing Democrats can do. That doesn’t mean we approve of Republicans whatsoever. They are doing squat. Squat. They aren’t helping us at all. They are only helping the rich. All I know is that I am furious at Democrats because they seem to be able to do nothing to counter the Republicans. That doesn’t mean I don’t want them in office. I want them in office bad. I’m angry because my own senator just keeps trying to pass bills when we know nothing’s gonna get passed because Republicans aren’t going to let us pass anything.

Conduct a poll that asks participants where they get their news. In list of choices include Fox and PBS. I suspect you will find a correlation watching Fox and strongly disliking Democrats as pedophiles and (projection) such as paying people to attend protests or faking being arrested by ICE for being a Democrat.

Fox so distorts information that their viewers quite literally don’t know what is going on.

As a decidedly older Dem voter, I can say that I'm not happy with a lot of what our leaders are doing, but that will not stop me from voting Dem. There do need to be some robust primary campaigns. But I've noticed that some Dem whose position I hate on issue one comes out strongly for something I support for issue two. It's hard to tell. My own reps are clearly on the right side of history, so all I can do is fork over some of my social security in other campaigns.

That the Dems choose to spend millions to woo white male voters instead of the rest of us speaks volumes and none of it good. Thank you, Doug. Excellent essay, couldn't agree more.
