Thanks for the good overview and reminder of some of the reasons for our support of Israel, much of it dating back to the Red Scare era and thus having doubtful legitimacy from its inception. Moreover, one has to wonder whether U.S. policy has been guided more by the millions of dollars Israel and its allies spend on influencing our policy. Such influence pedaling mimics the NRA playbook, not only funding its supporters but also threatening, smearing, and primarying perceived opponents. Biden's receipt of more than $4 mil (known) over his career makes his unwavering support of the slaughter (to the point of lying and fabricating) look like a Manchurian candidate in action. To add insult to injury, we are funding our corruption in as much as we send approximately $4 bil. to Israel each year, freeing up substantial funds for Israel to buy further influence and funding.
