What hell you and your family have gone through Jim. I cant imagine the utter terror your wife and son experienced as well. Im so glad you were able to get the healthcare you deserve. Thank you for mentioning the homeless who do not. You never stop thinking about the oppressed. We need you back as our class analyst/warrior! I’m so glad to hear that you are on your way to recovery!

Life is so precious. I’m glad you are here, writing these words, and sharing with all of us.

I’m revisiting St. John of the Cross’ “Dark Night of the Soul” reading this.

“I continued in oblivion lost,

My head was resting on my love;

Lost to all things and myself,

And, amid the lilies forgotten,

Threw all my cares away.”

I hope for your continued healing. Sending you a lot of love, Jim. ❤️❤️❤️

Like the"little white girl" who wrote to Martin Luther King saying "I'm so glad you didn't sneeze" after he'd been stabbed so close to his aorta that merely sneezing would have ended his life, I too now am so glad Kelly vetoed your impulse to go to the gym, and so glad Ben got you the medicine you needed to save your life and set you on the road to recovery, long and painful to be sure but blessed with your deep appreciation for the extraordinary beauty of the ordinary. Big hugs bro, Michael
